LGBTQ+ campus communities

  • Create a fund for LGBTQ+ students who may face financial strain from family disapproval or require emergency funds for medical costs regarding their gender or sexuality. This fund may initially be supplemented by alumni-donations.

  • Support the expansion of menstrual products access to all bathrooms, regardless of gender assignment, advocated for by Hoyas for Choice and GUSA’s Gender Equity Committee.

  • Establish a Georgetown residential floor as being gender-neutral and non-conforming living space. This project was taken on by several previous administrations but must be acted upon now.

  • Explore the institution of a QHouse, which would be a safe space for LGBTQ+ students that allows them to build and explore their community, in conjunction with the Crossroads LLC. This project was taken on by several previous administrations but must be acted upon now.

  • Work with the Student Health Center to institutionalize LGBTQ+ sensitivity training for all staff and faculty. 

​​

  • In relation to our expansion Student Health Insurance Policy, ensure that Prep is once again made available without a prescription.

​

  • Support Crossroads LLC to Village B permanently, and provide an online community space in the interim of COVID-19.

​​

  • Support and formalize the program of no-cost on-campus HIV testing, and expand to include other STDs based on student need.
