  • Secure a minimum offering of five courses for the Fall 2021-2022 Semester that meet the federal requirements necessary to allow international students to maintain their visa status.

  • Push Georgetown's Administration to standardize the practice of matching all federally-distributed grants or funds with equal institutional aid, made available to undocumented and international students ineligible for the former. â€‹

  • Work with Georgetown's Administration and other university stakeholders to create new internships and grant opportunities on campuses specifically aimed at international students for the Fall 2021-2022 Semester.

  • Collaborate with international students, faculty, staff, and administrators to develop relevant, long-distance programming for international students. This can include free remote mental health access, as well as linking students with local hosts or peer mentors.

  • Establish a program to provide support to individuals developing their oral English proficiency and to international students working to improve their communication, speaking, or teaching skills.

  • [COVID-19 SPECIFIC] Work with Georgetown's Administration to find alternative partnerships or resources for international students who do not have access to WeWork locations. These alternatives could include generalized grants for international students.

  • [COVID-19 SPECIFIC] Liasion with Georgetown's Administration and DC local government to ensure international students are eligible for vaccination, as it is unknown if that policy has carried over into the new U.S. administration. â€‹

  • Increase the overall funding and staffing capacities for the Office of Global Services. Emphasis must be put on extending the center’s ability to host communal/cultural events and activities (virtually and in-person) and provide advisement on border areas of international student life (like billing, regional resources, etc.)
